During this project we had a chance to visit Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center of Armenia. Deputy executive director Karen Gevorgyan met with us and and told many interesting facts about business environment in Armenia, from the government's point of view. Before we had a chance to meet with the local businessmen and talk to people on the street - such structure gave a really good overview of the situation in Armenia from different angles. Mr.Gevorgyan disagreed that taxes are high in Armenia - an idea that we heard so often on the streets of Yerevan. He agreed, however, that having support can be important sometimes, but also told more about governmental initiatives to support start-up business, like incubators, trainings, etc, etc, etc. But mostly I liked his one idea: to be successful, everybody needs to work hard. Simple - but so effective.
